ATTORNEY KEVIN CHAFFEE

Kevin has spent his entire career representing people who suffered injury or loss due to other’s abuse or neglect.

After graduating from the University of Kansas School of Law, Kevin began his career working for two prominent plaintiff’s firms whose attorneys had decades of experience as defense lawyers. While there, Kevin honed his skills representing plaintiffs in nursing home neglect or abuse cases. Because many of his mentors were prior defense attorneys, Kevin learned valuable skills on anticipating and overcoming common defense strategies. Kevin also learned how to efficiently represent injured parties by keeping costs low, and as a result, settlement proceeds high.

Kevin brings that unique experience to Steele Chaffee, LLC, where he continues to provide highly trained representation to those who have been injured or killed while living at a nursing home. Whether the injury was a result of a fall, pressure ulcer, bedsore, medication error, or some other form of abuse or neglect, Kevin has dedicated his practice to seeking justice for those who were abused or neglected in Kansas and Missouri nursing homes.

Kevin also stays involved in the Kansas City Community.  Early in his career Kevin completed the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Associations’ Ross T. Roberts Trial Academy and now serves on the KCMBA’s Torts committee.  In 2014, Kevin was nominated to run in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Man & Woman of the Year Campaign.  Over the 10-week campaign, Kevin and his fellow candidates raised over $500,000 for the Midwest Chapter of the LLS.  Kevin’s detail-oriented and focused representation has led him to be named as a Rising Start by Superlawyers ® Magazine since 2014.
